Steps towards a brighter future.

Hi everyone! I am starting 2021 with a new blog in which I aim to bring you hope, empathy and understanding in relation to mental health. I aim to include a blog post every day with tips, advice and news.


My book "Dying to stay alive" is hopefully going to be published later this year and I can't wait to share it with you. It is a story of hope over adversity and includes a lot of self help thinking strategies that I have found useful in my recovery.


Today is actually quite pleasant. It's a cold January morning but the sun is shinning and although we are in lockdown and I am spending most of my time editing my book and completing my diploma in copy editing and proofreading, I am going to take advantage of the weather and go for a walk.

This is something I think everyone should try to do, even in the depths of depression or whatever mental health condition they are battling - get outside and take a walk and benefit from some fresh air. Whatever the situation it is always going to be beneficial!
